Taipei 5 Days: Old Town Temples, Ximen and the River Wharves Five days in Taipei's oldest quarters — Wanhua, Ximen, Zhongzheng and Dadaocheng — where temple courtyards, baroque facades and riverside wharves sit a few metro stops apart. Everything runs on the MRT and on foot, with a long unhurried visit at each main sight and meals in the neighbourhood you happen to be in. Lodging is left open: a base around Ximen keeps every day within a short ride of the first stop.
