Old Supreme Court Building
在那裡
The Old Supreme Court Building was built in the classical style, featuring Corinthian columns and an allegory of justice set below the main dome. The current Supreme Court Building is right behind and its "spaceship" structure marks quite a contrast between the old and the new. While the building itself is worth a visit, it now also houses part of the National Art Gallery.
它的故事
The Former Supreme Court building is the former courthouse of the Supreme Court of Singapore. Opened in 1939, the building was the last structure built in the style of classical architecture in the former British colony. On 20 June 2005, the Supreme Court moved to its current premises at 1 Supreme Court Lane, located behind the Former Supreme Court. Since 24 November 2015, the Former Supreme Court, combined with the Former City Hall, serves as the location of the National Gallery Singapore.
