Being there
Go in the afternoon for coffee and dessert. The lanes are narrow and busy at weekends.
The story
The hanok here are small urban houses built about a hundred years ago, smaller and denser than Bukchon's. Young owners have turned them into cafés and restaurants and kept the roofs and timber beams.
