Ningxia Night Market
Being there
Start with an oyster omelette, then a bowl of pork-liver soup and a taro ball. Get there before seven when it's quieter.
The story
You can walk it in ten minutes, yet for many Taipei people it's simply where you go for street food. It sits near the old Jiancheng Circle, once the city's most famous food court; when the circle declined, some of its flavours survived on this road. Each stall makes one or two things and has for decades, and the queues are full of office workers who rode straight over after work.
