Being there
Start climbing forty minutes before sunset. It's twenty minutes to the viewing platform; find a boulder and wait for the city to light up.
The story
Four small hills in the south-east of Taipei are named Tiger, Leopard, Lion and Elephant, together the Four Beasts; Elephant is the smallest. It's famous because 101 stands directly in front of you with the whole city spread below. By evening the platform is full of tripods, everyone waiting for the same moment: the sun gone, the sky turning blue, the towers lighting up together.
